Apparently, my computer problems are not over. On Saturday, my computer cord began emitting puffs of smoke and not charging the computer anymore. Naturally, when the smoke began, I shut the computer down and have not used it since. I called HP in an attempt to get a new cord (since my computer is still under warranty) and this took an unnaturally long amount of time. First, they were closed on Saturday, Sunday AND Monday (dang holidays), so I was unable to actually SPEAK to a person until yesterday. The second issue was that I was describing my problem as, "smoke was coming from the area where I plug the cord into the computer". This translated to them as, "OMG HER COMPUTER IS ON FIRE!" So, they wanted me to send the computer to them. I do NOT want to do this as I will a) be without a computer in this dismal, dismal town and b) there is a possibility to "fix" my problem, they have to erase my entire hard drive. So, I talked the guy out of it. The third issue is that they will send me a new adapter, but when the HP guy went to order it - oops! - the ordering system was down. So now, they have to call me back today so that I can put my order through. Also, they probably only work on business days and this part will most likely not make it to me until next week. So, I will have to drive home for a night and get it, since I am having it sent home as I do not know my address in Lansing.
But at least it's free. The replacement that I already bought from Best Buy was 90.00 and I am NOT opening it so that I can get all that money back.
In other news, I had to spend an entire day cleaning my room. I found boxes of crap from years at Aquinas. I did, however, find a really awesome bed time story someone once wrote for me that I will be sharing as soon as I can get it all scanned. It has to be seen to be believed.

3 made a huge mistake.:
I have maybe six boxes in my closet that are labeled "Misc. Aquinas Stuff That I Don't Want To Throw Away Yet."
Do you think I'll ever *need* the tarp that was over my ceiling freshman year?
Or all of those damn bed pegs?
Survey says no.
Scan the story!
(fjnqqqmcyie. Another bad word verification day.)
You kept bed pegs?!? HAHAHAHA. No wonder there were never enough in all the times I tried to stack furniture.
Sorry about the word verification. It made me enter 4 seperate words before I could pose a comment on someone else's journal.
Your computer issues worry me as we are laptop twins. I hope Rutherford B Hayes does not start to smoke or die!
