At a Jason Mraz Concert?

I'm busy loading all of my music onto my new (aka Lil Bro's old) ipod. It's taking quite a long time, so I've been watching this parody of West Side Story.It's quite cute, even if all of the people's faces annoy me.

Oh, and here's a question I've been wondering about. While in Perpignan, I charge my ipod using the Apple wall charger and a standard adapter/converter. At the end of my time in France though, my ipod batter started dying very quickly and would not hold a charge. Am I too paranoid in thinking that it was because I wasn't using an adapter/converter specifically for an ipod or other personal electronics? Or did the battery go kaput because that's just want happens if you use your ipod every day? How did you guys charge your ipods?
