There Are FIVE Oceans. Who Knew?

So, after I discovered today that the AQ France program no longer travels to Perpignan, I was nostalgic for France. I stopped at Panera on the way home from work and bought a baguette and had a ham and garlic and herb cheese sandwich for dinner - it was almost like eating a meal bought at LeaderPrice! Now, I'm sitting here downloading French vocabulary podcasts and eating slices of baguette topped with Nutella.

I have tons and tons to do. I have absolutely zero motivation to do it. Zip. Zilch. Nada.

Work is freaking me out. They've given me too much independence. There aren't really any deadlines for anything, so I don't know what my priorities are. Also, doing research all day is boring, boring, boring. Then I take a break and get distracted reading articles on CNN and thus, accomplish nothing. Which stresses me out because I feel like I should be doing much more. And no one is EVER in the office, so I don't have anyone to ask my questions (I'm totally not comfortable with e-mailing or calling them to ask really stupid questions.) And I get feedback on nothing, so I don't know how I'm doing, but I don't want to push the issue because I am non-confrontational and react poorly to criticism. :-/ Hopefully, I can get over this soon. But, it's a small office, which breeds gossip, which can be deadly when I don't really feel comfortable yet.

I want to move on from this stage of my life. I want to live in a city, with my friends, with a job I like and am good at, and just be happy ALL THE TIME. Is that so much to ask?

0 made a huge mistake.:
