All Thunder and No Rain

So, I've had a busy past few days.

Thursday, we held an employee appreciation picnic at my work. This was put on by my office, of course, because we are the one office without any REAL work to do. It was one of the most hectic days I've ever had at work because Mr. FG's wife decided to screw up the ENTIRE schedule that I had spent all of Wednesday working on. Then, I left the office at 2:00pm, to deliver stuff to the park where we held the picnic. I spent the rest of the afternoon putting together centerpieces, hanging banners, hanging up name cards and getting food ready. Then, when the picnic finally started, I was placed in charge of the dunk tank that we had gotten at Mr. FG's request. He jumped in it, his son jumped in it, and a few other workers. I am happy to report that I did manage to hit the target and send Mr. FG's son into the water. When the day ended, and I finally made it to my bed, I could barely move even though I was sweaty and dirty and needed a shower. Don't worry, I finally got one. :)

Friday, was my lazy day at work. I was mad at New Bestie and AK decided not to come into the office, so I spent most of the day working on my crossword puzzle. I also was really sore from lifting coolers all day on Thursday (sadly, no amazing arm muscles developed from it), so I literally rolled everywhere around the office.

Saturday, my father offered to go apartment hunting with me because my parents deemed that I was making no progress on my own. In spite of my efforts to locate a nice, reasonably priced apartment, we were unable to locate any of those. We did, however, find me a one bedroom apartment and I signed a lease for it because it was one of the last 4 one-bedrooms they had left AND there are literally, probably under 20 one-bedroom apartments left in the entire town. We did look around the apartment that I would actually be moving in to and it seems nice, if a little older. It has a teeny kitchen, but a big bedroom probably one and a half the size of the bedroom I used to share with Moi. It has a nice enough bathroom, although I think the appliances are also a little dated. It also has a little porch (I'm on the ground floor) where I can sit outside - if I get any patio furniture. I do have to pay for my own utilities (although my parents said they would help me out) and I am definitely going to get internet put in the apartment. The Comcast guy has to actually come out and put it in and I am SO TEMPTED to also get cable, but I know that will be extra and I don't know how much that will be.

But, it's MY OWN APARTMENT. I'm so scared. And also so excited. But scared.

Also, it's not furnished, so I now have to find furniture. Blah. Although my mother uttered the words, "This is the perfect opportunity for me to get a new kitchen table....", so at least I will have an actual kitchen table to sit at.

My entire family went shopping today because we had no food, we had to get a baby gift for my cousin who just had a baby (and named it so it has the initials AAA) and the baptism is next Sunday, and Lil Bro needed cleats.

Oh! I also got a new phone. A red Chocolate. I love it very much, except that the screen has frozen on me about 4 times, so I think that I will take it back to get a new one.

I haven't seen the Dark Night yet, although I want to. I just didn't want to see it with a million other people in the theatre.

I feel restless, like something big is about to happen, but I don't yet know what it is. It could be the whole starting law school thing, but I feel like I am waiting for the other shoe to drop.

3 made a huge mistake.:

Very exciting about the new apartment! When do you move in? Where is it?

AAA is getting baptized fast.

I saw the Dark Knight in Saginaw and not that many people were in the theater but it was 11 in the morning so maybe that had something to do with it.

Oh and I completely understand the whole restless thing.

I move on August 9th. So, in 3 weeks. SCARY.

The baptism is quick isn't it?! We were pretty surprised to get an invitation to it. Makes me think that she might have some horrible disease they are not telling us about. ... Probably not though.

Yeah, I'm going to assume 11am is not the primary movie going time. :)

You're having a housewarming party, right?
RIGHT!?

Also... I *wish* I felt restless.
I just feel bored.
Is it bad that I'm done with my job and I've only been here two weeks?
