Dear Self at 7:00pm yesterday,
Hey. How's it going? I know you just got up from a nap. That was nice, wasn't it? Sleeping. It's a basic human need, you know. Which is why lack of it appears to be an effective method for torture. Now, that wasn't a nice thought, was it? That's what happens when someone is very, very, very, very, very, very tired. Why am I so tired, you wonder? And you should wonder because around 7:00pm, I believe I...we?... resolved to get to work on our homework since we had SO MUCH of it.
Unfortunately, it did not turn out like we had hoped. You see, it is now 5:30am and I am still awake and guess what? The complaint is still not written. SELF! WHY DIDN'T YOU DO THIS EARLIER? IT IS BASICALLY A FORM LETTER. Granted, it is a stupid case (A model is killed by a tranquilizer which was injected into chocolate cake by a skeezy Pentagon official who is trying to seduce her? And the issue we have to research is libel, alleged by the maker of the cake? Who wrote this? My friend who JUST discovered she is 7 months pregnant? It seems like it requires that (small) amount of brain cells.) but you still have to turn it in tomorrow at 2pm.
There is no real point in writing a letter to you, my Past Self, except to rant. But it kinda helped. I feel a little better.
Oh, here's a little more ranting: Would people please stop updating their Facebook status' with comments about how they are overseas and it's awesome and they love traveling? Because it's making me jealous and forcing me to spend time looking at plane tickets to anywhere and my finger might just slip one of these times and buy a plane ticket and that would not be good at this time. Not. At. All.
So Past Self, in summary, thanks. You screwed me over again. Like always. I'll try and get you next time.
Love,
Current Me
P.S. A SMALL upside to being up at this ungodly hour is that when certain tracks start leaking, I can listen to them before they are taken down. This is my favorite one, so far:
Dear Future Self,
Don't Do This Again.
Love,
Current Me

3 made a huge mistake.:
Hey! Past Self! Leave that boring Current Self to her books and whatever, and come to Sweden with me!!
Past Self graciously accepts your invitation. And assumes we will be flying first class.
Hell yes. I've never flown first class, so this might as well be the time.
