Multiplication

I spent all of last night cleaning my apartment. I've only been using my bathroom and bedroom basically, but I had more stuff than is humanly necessary. Seriously. I think that it multiplied and grew while I was at work everyday. I cleaned EVERYTHING possible, even things that I'm pretty sure were not clean when I moved in. But they passed out this huge list of things we were supposed to clean, including "walls, all doors (both sides) and light fixtures (make sure to wipe out all dead bugs.)"

Yeah, I didn't do the last one.

The toothpaste worked really well at caulking the small holes in my walls, but there are these four larger holes above my window where I think Girl-Before-Me had hung up her own curtains. The toothpaste could not fill those inconspicuously. Oh well. I also hauled half of my stuff to my car this morning so I can take it home tonight and wash it (rugs, shower curtains, comforters, etc.). That was quite a challenge.

This is my list of things I have to get done by tonight (hopefully before the Opening Ceremonies are on tv). I'm posting it here so I have easy access to it:

CALL WATER AND LIGHT TO GET ELECTRICITY
CALL FINANCIAL AID OFFICE BACK
MAKE SURE MOVE MONEY SO CAN PAY RENT
REGISTER FOR TECHNOLOGY SESSION
PRINT OFF HOMEWORK
GET PARKING PASS/COMMUTER PASS
FIGURE OUT WHAT IS MY ORIENTATION SCHEDULE
ORDER BOOKS
INVESTIGATE INTERNET PRICES/CALL COMCAST
DO LAUNDRY OF NECESSARY LINENS
PACK UP EVERYTHING ELSE
CHECK ALL E-MAILS TO SEE WHAT ELSE I AM MISSING

It makes me exhausted just to look at it. Good thing I can work on it at work today since there is NO ONE HERE. Ok, I am here. AK is here, New Bestie is here and New Bestie's boss is here. But they are all planning on leaving after lunch. So, I have at least 2 hours this afternoon to get stuff done.

Also: THE OLYMPICS START TODAY. Due to the 12 hour difference between here and Beijing (so if we do dig a hole through the center of the Earth, would we actually end up in China?), we are EXACTLY 12 hours behind what is going on. This is a bummer because I can look at all the pictures from the opening ceremonies already, but I have to wait until 7:30pm tonight to actually watch them. If only I had just gone myself. But I'm excited because I can't decide if I should get cable or not and I have a while to decide because the Olympics will just be shown all the time on NBC and I can watch those for days. I LOVE THE OLYMPICS!

1 made a huge mistake.:

I love the Olympics too! I went online this morning to find out what time the opening ceremonies were going to be shown tonight and it was SO hard not to look at the pictures of it already up! Why are they 12 hours ahead?!
