This is Coco's favorite spot to sit while cooking is occurring. It is a prime spot for her to grab any crumbs. Note the proximity to both the sink AND oven which makes it a prime spot for us to trip over her.
I didn't start documenting until I was almost done cooking, so this is a shot of the finished frosting. Chocolate with walnuts.

A frosted cake. We didn't have an actual sheet cake pan, so we made do. One with higher sides would have been helpful.

I predict this cake will not last four days in our house. Mainly because Lil Bro lives here and couldn't even be bothered to get a plate when he ate a piece. He simply stood at the counter and ate from the pan. Yeah. It's that good.

Lil Sis, I really enjoy how it appears that the first thing you do when you get to work in the morning is comment on my blog. You must be busy, huh? ;) Just kidding, you know I love it.

So I read this one blog and this year she is posting challenges/resolutions for each month. One of them (for this month) is to make a chocolate cake from scratch.
