I had my first real law school class this morning. (I had class last Friday, but it's technically not a real class, because there is only about the quarter of the people in it and it is supposed to teach me about writing). It was scary. First, I started out on the wrong foot by sitting in the wrong classroom for 10 minutes. Seriously. I am such a new kid. Thank goodness someone else made the same mistake and told me. So, I ran into the other classroom 1 MINUTE before class was supposed to start. When I walked in the professor was already standing at the front of the classroom, with his name and office hours listed on the board. No one was talking and everyone just stared at me. All the seats were taken so I had to climb to the very top of the lecture hall to sit. Precisely at 9:00am, the professor began class. This was terrifying. He would just randomly pick people from the attendance sheet and then ask them questions for 10-20 minutes. I think he wanted to call on me because we kept making eye contact, but he didn't know my name so he could only guess. He did call on High School Friend (did I tell you that someone from my high school is also going here?) and I am sorry to say that she did not do very well. The hardest part of the classes (all of them) is going to be that no matter how much reading I do, most of the questions are going to be hypothetical which means I cannot learn the answers beforehand!!

Here is my entire schedule, if you care to know:
Civil Procedure I - Monday, Wednesday 9:00-10:15am
Torts I - Monday, Wednesday 2:00-3:40pm
Contracts I - Tuesday, Thursday 8:30-9:45am
Criminal Law - Tuesday, Thursday 2:00-3:15pm
Reading, Writing, and Advocacy - Wednesday 1:00-1:50pm, Friday 11:00-12:40pm

So. Pretty sucky. Early classes, but lots of time in between to kill by either sitting in the library or going home for a little while. I'm definitely going to have to figure out this bus thing because feeding the meters is going to get old pretty quick. Today I drove because I went to open a bank account after class. As my mother informed me, "[I] need a bank that [I] can access from other places because [I] am not moving back to this town." (direct quote)

This weekend was consumed with being at home and trying to get more furniture and stuff for the apartment. I also got a dress for the wedding I have to attend this weekend in Iowa. I would post a photo, but I cannot find one ANYWHERE. The Internet has failed me.

Also, did you know that Jojo's Fashion Show 2 and Go Go Gourmet 2 are out? I want to play SO badly. However, must do reading (so I can play with Sleepygirl next time she calls!)

The Olympics are over. No more Bela. What the hell will I watch on TV now? You can't make me watch that new Christian Slater show no matter how much you pay me! Vancouver 2010 seems so far away.

Is it sad that one of the first things I thought about this morning was that AQ was starting classes today and I wish that I was there? All weekend I thought about new people being in our apartment and it weirded me out. Change is weird.

3 made a huge mistake.:

Thanks for your schedule. Now I'll know all the right times to bother you. ;)
And the little seat/foot rest thing that we bought is perfect!!! It's a good thing I took the big one, the other one would've been way too short. It way comfier than the waste basket I was using before! lol
How's yours working out?

It is good. Wish it was a little bit taller (I wish I was a baller,
I wish I had a girl who looked good
I would call her.....sorry Skee-Lo reference), but it's working out just fine. Nice to have something to rest my feet on!

Omg, you are just like Elle Woods, except, you know, smarter and you didn't follow some guy to Law school to get a diamond ring, and you don't have a small dog...but you are just as cool!

Good luck! Have fun!

p.s. I miss Bela and AQ too!
