The Greatest Tie Since Bunker Hill

Lil Sis reminded me that I have not updated since last Tuesday, thus breaking my goal of updating everyday this month, and then my revised goal of updating every other day. So, for now, no goal and I will just try to remember more often.

Haven't been doing much. Working, cleaning, teaching slang to 35-year-olds who only three months ago bought an Ipod. You know, the usual.

I have decided to move. My rent is going up and the doorbell on my building is apparently unable to be fixed (Every time I've asked about it, I've gotten different answers, such as "We don't really advertise that" or "It's not in our budget" or "The system is so outdated that we can't find anyone to fix it") but I would really like to know when people are standing outside the door. So, I'm moving. I turned in my Notice to Vacate last Friday. Only one teeny tiny problem. I have no place lined up to move to in August. Hmmmm. I should get on that.

I love the World Cup, if only because I now know that giant bees live in South Africa. Wait, what's that? There are no giant bees in South Africa? The buzzing going on during the matches is actually people blowing plastic air horns called vuvuzelas?  If you haven't been watching the World Cup and are curious to know what sound is slowly deafening most of the world population, click here. That's right. 90 minutes of that sound. Dear God, please make it stop.

Also, this picture cracks me up to no end. (Photoshopped, obviously.  The look on Beckham's face is from just after the USA scored.)

0 made a huge mistake.:
